Waldorf Atmosphere

A Little Garden Flower is owned and operated by Melisa (me) and Erik Nielsen (my husband). I have been a part of the Waldorf community for since my oldest child was young and I attended a Waldorf school in Germany when my parents were stationed there with the military. When we returned stateside in my childhood, my mother kept Waldorf alive in our home. We celebrated as many festivals as she could remember and St. Nicholas was always my Santa. As an adult raising my first child, I was reintroduced to the terminology of Waldorf and began studying it in earnest. I began consulting for families in 2003 and now I write, consult, present workshops and teach handwork classes from my home. Many people online may know me as Melisa Tow (former owner of The Spiral Garden), I carried that name for 13 years while raising my older children with my former husband. I divorced and remarried and am now mothering a new generation of little people. My older children are 7, 8, and 11 and my baby was born in June of 2006. We run a busy, loud, simple, yet fun home.
