When we are first introduced to Waldorf it can be overwhelming trying to navigate the many book resources and areas of study.  Many just want to jump in and get started but then feel frightened that they will miss something.  I offer you a way to stay on the path of learning while also teaching your child.  I believe that when we come to this method, we are all start somewhere and there are things that if we can learn in the beginning then our whole experience is opened up.  I write a series of books that follows this thinking as well.  My consulting fees are priced with my book as so much information is covered and will be then at your fingertips, especially if you are new to the method.  I also work with seasoned parents who just want a little more on their path, perhaps they have a few years of learning behind them and now they really want to take what they are doing with their families to the next level.

I also felt I should add that I can do a great deal in helping parents and caregivers achieve the inner work and peace that they seek.  I use meditations and prayer work that have come from Steiner as well as current leaders in the field of energy work and quantum physics, helping each person come to a place of peace.  I have found that this inner work goes hand in hand with family consulting on the method and I am happy to do both during your consulting time.

To purchase consulting time and/or any of my books please visit my store .

My fee structure is below, keep in mind rates are per family, NOT per child.

Fees - this includes all curriculum books that are written and available during our consulting time (in e-book/pdf format)
Consulting occurs via email, IM and the phone for those in the USA (email and IM for those outside the USA, or we can use Skype where available)  Phone time can be weekly as long as is needed, while some parents enjoy a combination of phone and email, others prefer the phone.  My phone time is usually done in one hour time blocks. Because of our family schedule, early mornings on Monday and Wednesday between 5am and 8am MST/MDT - on Fridays I take clients through the day.

 One month - $45    One semester (4 months) - $85   School year (9 months) - $120
Full year (12 months) - $145

Not sure you want to commit to a year?  Try a month and if you want to upgrade we can for the price difference.

Why pick me?  There are so many other Waldorf consultants out there, what makes me special? Well nothing really, it is a matter of who you connect with, some connect really well with me, others with another consultant.  I believe that it is a very personal choice and that you have to make the right choices for your family.  I recently had a prospective client interview me via email, with her permission, I post the responses below.  If you have any questions or would like to interview me as well, feel free to email me or phone me at 208.524.1916 or 208.403.5616.  Blessings!
What was your introduction to and background/training in Waldorf education? How many children do you have and what are your experiences in homeschooling?

I went to a Waldorf school in Germany as a child and when we returned home stateside, my mother continued the festivals throughout my childhood.  I rediscovered Waldorf about 10 years ago and read about it loosely for a few years before I went into earnest study of it.  The principles are ones that I have always carried in my heart.  My background comes in years of self study as well as conference attendance, working with and getting to know master teachers and gleaning from their experiences and then adding in my own as a homeschooling mother.  I have taught for Rahima on several occasions at both her Sacramento and Denver conferences and well as teaching at mainstream homeschool conventions introducing new parents to Waldorf methods.  I have four children ages 11, 9, 7 and 22 months.  I have exclusively homeschooled them all from the beginning with Waldorf.  My oldest son has asperger's syndrome and it lends my knowledge of teaching abled/gifted children to my clients that have the same sorts of situations.  I am a divorced mother, remarried two years ago and work daily in a blended family situation that requires lots of open communication with my children's father as he is in town and spends a lot of family time with us.  I have consulted for families with children older than mine with great success.  One example is a family of 8 children, ages 18 down to 2.

I also have a background in lactation, midwifery and natural medicine/nutrition.

What strengths do you feel you have to offer?

I am a very busy mom with 4 children. My strengths are time management and teaching that to my clients, as well as impeccable organization skills and the ability to teach that via the net as well.  I have a good knowledge base of Steiner and Waldorf and whenever I don't know an answer I dig in to find it.  I know what it is like to be a busy parent and try to wrangle busy children... we have a term in our house for those days when they are all nuts... Fleas in a bucket.... the children being the fleas and trying to keep them all in the bucket can be a challenge... somehow we manage even if we don't know just how we did it some days.

Another strength is my constant yearning to learn more about Waldorf and Anthroposophy, I always let people know up front that I am not the rising and setting sun on the subject and that I am a student of life just as they are.  We are all on a journey.

What are the ages of your children or children you have worked with?

Mine are 11,9, 7, and 22 months, as of April 2008.  We plan to have more down the road.  I have consulted with families that have 8 children and families with only one child.  I have taught children of all ages through co-ops that I have run as well as enrichment programs that I have been a participator in.

I definitely feel that success is not determined by how much I am willing to give, as I always match my effort with a parent's energy to create what they want in their home, success is measured in my opinion with the knowing that the parent is ready to not only hear my counsel but are then willing and able to put it into action.  Not all of us are in that place at the same time.  Some can hardly pull it off with one child while others fly through it with 5, it is a journey and one that I am always willing to help on.

I spend time in meditation and prayer on each family before I answer questions.  Just as Waldorf teachers are directed to start their day before meeting their classes, I do the same.  I find it interesting, there are many times when my answer is changed through meditation and I will give a different one than I would have otherwise, inevitably my meditative answer is the right one!  The Spirit is definitely my partner in my consulting practice.
